Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
My name is Ina Colon-Villafranca, the standing President of the Omicron Kappa Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. I extend my welcome on behalf of the women of Omicron Kappa. I am from a small town located approximately one hour outside of Raleigh, North Carolina. As the first person in my family to pursue a higher education, I came to Appalachian State University in hopes of creating memorable experiences while earning a degree in Electronic Media - Broadcasting, Communication. I have found everything I was looking for in my college experience thus far, thanks to my Sorors and the faculty advisors.
My goal/vision for Omicron Kappa is to continue to develop women of excellence and to remain being of Service to All Mankind! Omicron Kappa was charted on our campus on December 11, 1987 and we’ve been integral leaders in improving the dynamics of ASU ever since. I am also hoping that we continue to create relationships with not only inter-council organizations, but other organizations as well.
We invite to continue learning about the rich history of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated by visiting our national website. You can also learn more about Omicron Kappa by visiting our chapter's personal website. Feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
